FerroAI
AI Control for all climate zones
Even Ferroamp´s home contry Sweden has excellent conditions for solar power. You just have to think one step further.
We must adapt to the darkness of winter and the light of summer. Temperatures that can change 60 degrees.
We also have a unique electrical system. Well developed but old. Large energy production but with congestion and bottlenecks.
This means that we need to be a little smarter.
This is why we have developed FerroAI.

FerroAI combines data on spot prices and grid area, grid tariffs, temperature and solar irradiance with detailed data from EnergyHub on your electricity usage history to optimize the control of your Ferroamp system on a monthly, daily and hourly basis.
Shave Power Peaks
If you pay tariffs based on power usage, FerroAI will limit imports from the electricity grid dynamically when consumption is at its highest.
Self consumption
Maximize the benefits of solar power by charging the battery with the surplus during the day and use it when the sun has gone down.
Spot Price Control
Take advantage of the electricity price differences during the day and charge the battery when it is cheapest and discharge when it is expensive to use in the property or sell to the electricity grid. With Ferroamp AI, you don‘t risk creating power peaks during charging.
Upcoming: EV Charging
All chargers that can be integrated with Ferroamp via OCPP can also be controlled with FerroAI. This means that the car is allowed to charge when power is available below the power level set by FerroAI for the month.
How FerroAI works
At power tariffs
FerroAI calculates how much you can limit costs based on your user profile and ensures that the battery has the capacity left to discharge to cut power peaks during critical hours.
- FerroAI balances charging of battery so as not to create power peaks.
- FerroAI calculates whether there will be additional capacity to exploit spot price differences or to maximize self–use of solar electricity
At surplus of solar power
Due to taxes and transmission fees, it is usually more profitable to save self–produced electricity than to sell it to the electricity grid, even if the price of electricity is higher during the day than at night.
FerroAI calculates the next day‘s solar radiation and consumption and determines whether it will be enough to charge the electric car and battery.
If production will not be enough, the battery is charged instead when the price is lowest.
At EV charging
Control of EV charging with FerroAI is not yet implemented.
- FerroAI will be able to control a number of popular chargers from different manufacturers, for example. Zaptec, Garo, Charge Amps.
- FerroAI will balance the charge so that it does not risk creating a power peak.
