The Ferroamp system is modular and suitable for both simple villa installations and for installations in larger residential and industrial properties where several buildings can be connected with a PowerShare.
There are several tools to help professionals planning an installation. For larger installations, contact Ferroamp’s project engineers to ensure that the sizing of the installation is correct.
Cabel calculator
Calculate the dimensions of the cables in order for the system to function properly and to meet the voltage drop requirements. Read the guide for information on how the calculator works.
SSO calculator
Download the SSO calculator to calculate how many solar string optimizers are needed for your PV system.

Katja Orrenius and Oskar Palovaara are project engineers at Ferroamp and help with the dimensioning of larger systems.
What can a project engineer help with?
“We can help ensure that the dimensioning of the system is correct so that it works and is optimised according to the customer’s needs,” says Katja.
When should I contact a project engineer?
βIn principle, for all projects that are larger than a residential system. Contact us already in the planning stage so that we can look at the conditions together and discover challenges and opportunities in good time,” says Oskar.
What questions usually arise when dimensioning a larger Ferroamp system?
βIt is often a matter of getting the PLC communication to work correctly and that the cable dimensioning must meet the system’s specific requirements for voltage drop, as it can vary greatly between different systems,” says Katja.
