  • Fuse Holder 63A 1000 VDC

Circuit breaker DC:

  • DC Circuit Breaker 63A 1000 VDC (CE01103)

Circuit breaker AC:

  • AC Circuit Breaker 50A 3P Chint

Can I use circuit breakers on the DC network?

Fuses for DC power grids must be approved for the cutting of expected short-circuit current and with a voltage up to 1000V. At present, ceramic fuses or circuit breakers with several series-connected breaker chambers can be used for this.

What type of fuses are used in the Power Distribution Box/ PowerCase?

Ferroamp’s DC Distribution Power Distribution box and PowerCase are equipped with 15A, 1000V, gPV fuses. These can be replaced with 20 or 32 A, 1000V gPV fuses. The dimensions of the fuses are 10×38 mm.

Fuses:

  • 15A 1000 VDC (CE01293)
  • 20A 1000 VDC (CE01104)
  • 32A 1000 VDC

Fuse holder:

  • Fuse Holder 32A 1000 VDC (CE01101)

Circuit breakers

  • DC Circuit Breaker 63A 1000 VDC (CE01103)

What type of fuses are used in the 2XL Single Interconnection Kit?

Fuses:

  • 50A 1000 VDC

Fuse holder:

  • Fuse holder 63A 1000 VDC

Do I need surge protection?

All models of the EnergyHub are designed and tested according to IEC 62109-1 and IEC 62109-2. They thus meet the AC connection overvoltage category III and the DC connection overvoltage category II (which corresponds to a test voltage of 4 kV impulse and can therefore be compared to surge protection class III). However, these internal protectors cannot handle the same currents and pulse energies as external protectors.

The EnergyHub system can therefore be supplemented with external protection in cases where this is provided for in the electrical installation rules or is desirable as additional protection of the equipment. This may apply, for example, if you live in a villa or property where the risk of lightning strikes that can affect the property’s electrical system is great.

For more information, contact your local electrician.

Where can I place surge protectors?

Surge protection can be provided on both the AC and DC side of the EnergyHub.

If external surge protectors are required, contact your installer for consultation on the DC network and AC network for the best possible protection of the devices.

For inputs on SSOs from solar panels, surge protection is not recommended as it adds cost and is a potential source of error in installations. The SSO is designed with a double-insulated design just like the solar panels and can therefore withstand a 4 kV impulse relative to ground, therefore reducing the need for external surge protection.

Where can I buy spare parts and fuses?

Spare parts and accessories such as plugs, fuses, fuse holders and circuit breakers that may be needed for installation are available from wholesalers.

Ferroamp has developed specially adapted packages with fuses and connectors.
