Important INFORMATION

Uppdate SSO before activation

Since the beginning of the year, Ferroamp‘s solar string optimizer SSO 8 kW can handle solar panels with Imp (according to STC) up to 16 A. However, this requires that the latest software is implemented. Therefore, if you install panels with Imp above 14.5 A, you must wait to activate the solar panels until the software has been updated, otherwise the SSO risks being damaged.

The software is automatically updated to the latest version the night after the system is activated, this is to avoid the risk of the update being disturbed by ongoing installation work. You will receive a notification via email when the update is completed and solar panels can be activated.

Do the following

01

Install

Install SSO and EnergyHub according to manuals.

02

Measuring mode

Put EnergyHub in "Measuring mode" before activating the solar panels. If solar production starts before updating has taken place, the products risk being damaged. In systems with OS 6 this is done in the web portal, in systems with OS7 (new residential systems) this is done in the Ferroamp Service Portal.

03

Wait for confirmation

Then wait for an email confirming that the software has been updated to the latest version. Note that this can take up to a day. If you need an earlier update, contact support via the Ferrobot chat function on this page.

04

Activate

Then activate the solar panels by putting the EnergyHub in "Running Mode".
