Ferroamp and Aira partner to bring clean energy-tech products to market

Clean energy-tech companies Ferroamp and Aira have signed an agreement to launch joint energy solutions for the European market. Development is now underway to integrate the Ferroamp system with Aira’s energy offering to homeowners.

“By developing and manufacturing new products in collaboration with Aira, we have the opportunity to expand broadly in Europe and gain access to several major markets. This really shows the strength of our open modular system and how it can easily be combined with other smart solutions,” says Kent Jonsson, CEO of Ferroamp.

Aira’s mission is to accelerate the electrification of residential heating enabling the switch to heat pumps and other clean energy-tech solutions. Integrating Ferroamp’s smart control of solar energy, batteries and electric car charging into the system will further enable the customer to optimize energy consumption and heating in a single system. It provides a cost-effective alternative to heating with fossil fuels and the opportunity for more people to participate in the green transition. The offer will initially be directed to homeowners across Germany, Italy and the UK.

On Wednesday 6 March, the companies signed a product development agreement. Development work will begin to integrate and customise the Ferroamp system into Aira’s consumer offering.

“As pioneers in the electrification of residential homes, Ferromap bring significant benefits to the Aira customer proposition further reducing household energy bills and supporting Aira’s ambition to take Europe off gas. Ferroamp is a flexible, modular, and proven solution, which will integrate well into the Aira intelligent home energy platform, app and optimisation solution.” Says Kaj af Kleen, Aira Chief Product & Technology Officer.
