About the System
Reduce costs and turn your house into a resource in the power grid by connecting solar panels, batteries, and electric vehicle charging with a flexible DC-grid. As the electricity market changes and prices fluctuate, the Ferroamp system provides control.
The system is continuously updated with unique features and can be expanded step by step. Adapt the system to your needs or to the new challenges in the power grid.
More profitable solar panels
The Ferroamp system gives you an intelligent inverter for your solar panels. Direct current technology reduces conversion losses, and with a battery connected to the system, you can use the excess from the solar panels when you consume the most electricity.
Protect the main fuse with phase balancing
When a phase in the house’s electrical system is overloaded, the main fuse trips, limiting how much electricity you can draw. The Ferroamp system’s unique phase balancing evens the load, allowing you to charge your electric car and run the dryer simultaneously without tripping the fuse.
Smart use of the battery as an energy storage
With the intelligent control of the Ferroamp system, the battery becomes a flexible tool in the property that, besides charging with solar power, can be used to charge at night when electricity is cheap and discharge when it is most expensive during the day. If you have a power tariff, the battery can also be used to cut costly consumption peaks.
Efficient and cheaper electric vehicle charging
Active phase balancing frees up space for hassle-free electric vehicle charging. If you also fully integrate the charging box into the Ferroamp system, you can control the charging dynamically and load balance to avoid power peaks or choose to charge only when there is excess solar power.
Flexible and scalable
As needs change, you can easily expand your Ferroamp system with batteries or more solar panels. We also update the system over the internet as new features are added so you can always meet new conditions in the electricity market.

FAQ
All models of electric car chargers that are alternating current chargers (AC charging) work together with EnergyHub. For full functionality and OCPP control, the following chargers are currently compatible.
Ferroamp EnergyHub is available in different sizes, and you can connect solar cells ranging from one to several hundred kilowatts. The solar string optimizer, which is part of the Ferroamp system, can automatically limit the power from the solar cells, allowing you to oversize the solar cell output by up to 120%.
Ferroamp EnergyHub should be installed in a weather-protected space free from condensation. Since it is powered by a fan with roughly the same noise level as a desktop computer and generates some heat load, it can be advantageously installed in, for example, a garage, basement, attic, or storage room to avoid disturbing noise.
Like hybrid inverters, EnergyHub can control solar energy to distribute it in the property or store it in the battery. Most hybrid inverters have the MPPT inputs for the solar cell system and the battery connection input built-in. In the Ferroamp system, solar cells and batteries are connected via separate solar string optimizers (SSO) and energy storage optimizers (ESO) to the DC network and EnergyHub. This makes the system scalable and can be expanded with, for example, more solar panels in additional directions or additional batteries without having to purchase a new inverter.
Almost all electronics in our homes are powered by direct current. LED lighting, fans, refrigerators, TVs, computers, etc. In the devices, there are small rectifiers that convert the alternating current in our wall outlets to the direct current needed to power the devices. Solar panels produce direct current, and batteries in both our homes and cars are powered by direct current. By building a direct current infrastructure, we reduce energy losses between solar cells and batteries and enable the future connection of more direct current components directly to the direct current network. This will enable significantly reduced energy losses and more efficient and intelligent energy use. Direct current technology also offers greater controllability than alternating current, resulting in a more flexible system.
